Who we are

We are a community-focused social enterprise that encourages local economic development and diversification through impact investing. We provide strategic advice and capital to innovators and high-impact projects.

What we do

We offer social finance that includes: affordable loans for business and social enterprises; equity investments for high-growth ventures; and grants for targeted sectors. 


Our experienced social finance team help innovators connect to a diverse network of entrepreneurs, investors, and community organizations that are well-integrated into the wider innovation ecosystem – locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad.

Intent

We work with investors and enterprises to develop and report on tailored metrics that capture the financial, social, and environmental impacts of their activities. We collaborate with place-based impact investors across Canada to share data, knowledge, and best practices.

We work across a diverse range of sectors from family-run farm-to-table to high-growth ventures disrupting traditional industries through the adoption of innovative technologies and original business models.

We are headquartered on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, with offices in the rural communities of Prince Edward County and neighbouring Lennox & Addington County.

Governance

We are a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors and strive to practice and advocate good governance.


We are committed to inclusion and to lowering barriers to the economic participation of: youth, women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, newcomers and visible minorities.
